Chapter News
The annual show in downtown Naples this year was great. This was the third year for the event that is organized by the Ferrari Club of Naples. The first two years the show was held on 3rd Street (in the vicinity of Tommy Bahamas). This year the show was moved to 5th Avenue where show cars filled both sides of the road from US 41 to 3rd Street. There was a big variety of makes and models ...exotics such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, Rolls Royce and domestics from GM, Ford, Chrysler and AMC. All told, there were over 400 cars on display. To me, the highlight was the number of spectators (see photo). There were so many people looking at the show cars, I couldn't get any clear pictures of the cars. In my humble opinion, 5th Avenue is the perfect venue for a car show and I hope next year, more from our club will attend.

Speaking of shows, March 8th is the West Coast Muscle Car Club's annual event at Sugden Park in Naples. On April 20th the Hurricane Chapter is having their 8th annual BOP show in Pembroke Pines. For those interested in going, we have a group planning to caravan over on the morning of the show. Please let me know if you're interested.
Also, don't forget to check out Dixie Pontiac, Buick & GMC web site for service specials.
Remember that our club meetings are held at Capriccio's Italian Restaurant (it's the only way we can get club member and restaurant owner Pontiac Joe to come to the meetings). click here for map
